Clement Town, Dehradun – The 15 Dogra Regiment “Batalik Bombers” organized a family welfare awareness program on the theme “Healthy and Safe Families in Monsoon”, where Dr. Anil Verma was felicitated for his outstanding contribution to health education and humanitarian service.
Presiding over the event, Mrs. Mukta Singh, President of the Family Welfare Organization and wife of Brigadier R.K. Singh, emphasized that “Good health is the foundation of a happy life”, highlighting the importance of balanced diet, exercise, hygiene, adequate sleep, and stress management, especially during the monsoon season.

In the first session, Dr. Verma, a certified First Medical Responder with the Indian Red Cross Society, educated participants on prevention of water‑borne diseases such as cholera, typhoid, diarrhea, and hepatitis, as well as vector‑borne illnesses like malaria, chikungunya, and dengue. He also shared safety measures against floods, landslides, electrical hazards, and lightning, along with IMD alert protocols.
Acknowledging his efforts, Mrs. Singh presented Dr. Verma with a special honor on behalf of the Family Welfare Organization.

The second session, led by Lt. Col. Sanjay Kumar Samal, featured hands‑on CPR training conducted by Dr. Verma for officers, soldiers, and Agniveers. He also provided vital information on anemia, thalassemia, hemophilia, sickle cell disease, and the benefits of blood donation.
Dr. Verma’s record of 155 voluntary blood donations was lauded, and the Dogra Regiment Commanding Officer, along with fellow officers, presented him with a commemorative shield in recognition of his lifesaving service.
