Dehradun, January 18 — The Secretariat Athletics and Fitness Club organized its 8th Annual Athletics Meet today at the Ganga Athletics Ground of Maharana Pratap Sports College. The event saw enthusiastic participation from secretariat officers and employees aged between 25 and 75 years.

The meet was inaugurated with Special Principal Secretary (Sports) Amit Sinha as the chief guest, while Additional Secretary Santosh Badoni attended as guest of honor. The closing ceremony was graced by Deputy Secretary (Sports & Youth Welfare) Ajit Singh.

Championship Winners

The competition witnessed spirited performances across age categories:

•         50+ Men’s Category: Jivan Singh Bisht

•         40+ Men’s Category: I.P. Singh and Deepak Singh Bisht

•         30+ Men’s Category: Tikraj Singh

•         30+ Women’s Category: Champa Koranga

•         40+ Women’s Category: Bimla Arya and Urva Rawat

The event was coordinated under the leadership of Club President Lalit Chand Joshi, General Secretary Rajendra Prasad Joshi, Vice President Reena Shahi, Treasurer Dinesh Singh Dhinga, Joint Secretary Bhuvan Joshi, Office Secretary Subhash Lohani, Media In-charge Nidhi, and Auditor Pramila Tamta. Several other members including Godavari Rawat, Vidya Datt Joshi, Gajpal Singh Rawat, and Bhupendra Singh were also present.

The annual meet, now in its eighth edition, has become a platform to promote fitness, sportsmanship, and camaraderie among secretariat staff, reinforcing the importance of health and wellness in public service.
