Dehradun: Uttarakhand has been approved an incentive amount of ₹350 crore under Part IX of the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme, which focuses on “Incentivising States for Efficiency in Financial Management.” Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Government of India for this significant allocation.
The Chief Minister stated that the approval reflects the state government’s strong financial management practices, transparency, and adherence to fiscal discipline. He noted that Uttarakhand has made notable progress in areas such as increasing tax collection, controlling expenditure, strengthening digital payment systems, and improving budgetary management.
Dhami further highlighted that Uttarakhand had earlier received central incentives for reforms in the mining sector through transparent policies, implementation of e‑tendering and online monitoring systems, and improvements undertaken in the transport department. These achievements, he said, reinforce the state’s commitment to a reform-oriented governance model and strengthen its presence at the national level.
