Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of renowned folk artist Diwan Kanwal, describing it as an irreparable loss to the state’s rich cultural heritage.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister said that Diwan Kanwal played a pivotal role in giving new identity and recognition to Uttarakhand’s folk culture and music, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations.
“The passing of Diwan Kanwal is a great loss to the world of folk art and culture in Uttarakhand,” Shri Dhami stated, while praying for peace to the departed soul. He also extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and admirers, wishing them strength to bear this grief.
