Kedarnath Yatra Temporarily Suspended Amid Adverse Weather Conditions


Dehradun: In view of continuous rainfall and unfavorable weather conditions in the region, Garhwal Commissioner Anand Swaroop has directed authorities to temporarily suspend the Kedarnath Yatra as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of pilgrims.

Emphasizing that the security and well-being of devotees remain the administration's top priority, the Commissioner instructed officials to closely monitor the situation and make all necessary arrangements for the safety and convenience of travelers.

Officials stated that the pilgrimage will resume once weather conditions improve and it is deemed safe for movement along the route.

The administration has appealed to pilgrims and prospective visitors to obtain the latest weather updates before commencing their journey and strictly follow all advisories and guidelines issued by the authorities.

Meanwhile, the district administration and disaster management teams are maintaining constant vigilance over the situation. Necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safety, shelter, and assistance of pilgrims already present in the region.

Authorities have urged devotees to cooperate with officials and avoid unnecessary travel until weather conditions return to normal.
