Dehradun: A profound atmosphere of devotion, spirituality, and selfless service prevailed at Shri Darbar Sahib on the occasion of the Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Param Pujya Brahmaleen Shri Mahant Indiresh Charan Das Ji Maharaj on June 10. Thousands of devotees from across India and abroad gathered to pay homage to the revered spiritual leader and reaffirm their commitment to the ideals of service, compassion, and humanity that he championed throughout his life.

The commemorative event was led by Pujya Sajjada Gaddi Nashin Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj, who offered special prayers at Shri Jhande Ji and prayed for the well-being, peace, prosperity, and happiness of humanity. Remembering his revered Guru, he highlighted the enduring relevance of Mahant Indiresh Charan Das Ji Maharaj’s teachings, which continue to inspire countless followers.

 

Devotees from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and several other parts of the country, as well as overseas, visited Shri Darbar Sahib to pay their respects. They offered prayers and pledged to follow the path of service, dedication, and human welfare shown by their beloved Guru Maharaj.

The occasion witnessed the distribution of langar, prasad, and shabeel, reflecting the spirit of equality and community service that forms the foundation of the institution's traditions.

In a significant gesture of humanitarian service, the Mahaparinirvan Diwas was observed as a Seva Diwas with the organization of a voluntary blood donation camp within the Shri Darbar Sahib premises. Devotees enthusiastically participated in the initiative, donating blood in memory of their revered Guru. A total of 101 units of blood were collected during the camp.

Participants described blood donation as one of the highest forms of service, emphasizing that saving lives and helping those in need represents the truest tribute to the teachings of Mahant Indiresh Charan Das Ji Maharaj.

Religious leaders and devotees noted that the Mahaparinirvan Diwas is not merely an occasion for remembrance but also an opportunity to imbibe and practice the values preached by the Guru.
