Pauri Garhwal: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday inaugurated the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar District Science Museum at Srinagar Road and launched the Kandolia Mahotsav at Ramleela Ground during his tour of Pauri Garhwal. On the occasion, he announced the festival’s recognition as a state-level event and gifted the district development projects worth ₹110.55 crore, including the foundation stone for 14 schemes and the inauguration of five others.

The Chief Minister praised the museum as a hub of innovation and scientific learning, noting its interactive models and modern exhibits designed to foster curiosity and research among students. He said the facility would serve not just as an exhibition space but as a center for scientific education and creativity.

At Kandolia Temple, Dhami offered prayers before inaugurating the festival, calling it a platform to showcase Uttarakhand’s rich cultural heritage and local talent. He emphasized that the newly launched projects would strengthen infrastructure and bring positive change to people’s lives.

Highlighting the state’s broader development agenda, Dhami pointed to initiatives such as the House of Himalaya, One District–Two Products, Millet Mission, tourism and film policies, and employment schemes. He reiterated the government’s commitment to youth welfare, citing strict anti-cheating laws and transparent recruitment that has provided over 33,000 jobs in four years.

Dhami also underscored the government’s priority to safeguard Uttarakhand’s cultural identity and social harmony, referencing laws on UCC, anti-conversion, anti-riot measures, and land protection. He said projects like the NCC Academy, NIT campus, Ganga Culture Centre, Singtali Bridge, and road widening works would boost development, tourism, and employment in the region.
The event was attended by local legislators, district officials, and community representatives.
