Dehradun: A solemn condolence meeting was organized at SGRR Public School, Sahaspur, to pay tribute to the school's distinguished alumnus and Indian Air Force officer, Squadron Leader Prashant Singh, who lost his life in a tragic aircraft crash in Assam while serving the nation.
The school community gathered to honour the memory of the brave officer, remembering his dedication, courage, and unwavering commitment to national service. Teachers, staff members, and students offered floral tributes before his portrait and observed a two-minute silence, praying for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Shahna Rahman described Squadron Leader Prashant Singh as a source of immense pride for the institution. She said his life exemplified courage, discipline, and selfless service to the nation. His commitment to duty and ultimate sacrifice in the line of service, she noted, would continue to inspire generations of students to uphold the values of patriotism and integrity.
“Squadron Leader Prashant Singh was not only an accomplished officer of the Indian Air Force but also a shining example for our students. His sacrifice for the nation will always be remembered with respect and gratitude,” she said.
The school family expressed its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for strength and courage to help them cope with the irreparable loss. Students and staff members paid their respects with moist eyes, remembering the fallen officer whose life was dedicated to safeguarding the nation.
