Dehradun: Students of Shri Guru Ram Rai (SGRR) PG College have brought laurels to their institution by securing first place in the prestigious Eat Right Youth Hackathon Uttarakhand-2026. The achievement has been widely celebrated across the academic community, highlighting the college’s growing reputation for excellence in innovation and student development.
Congratulating the winning team, Shri Guru Ram Rai University President Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj praised the students for their dedication, creativity, and hard work. The college’s Student Union President, Balbir Kunwar, has also played an active role in advancing student welfare. Under his efforts, the renovation and modernization of key facilities, including the library, canteen, principal’s office, accounts department, and student union office, have been completed. Development and beautification work at the sports ground is also progressing rapidly, providing students with improved infrastructure and opportunities.
In another major boost for students, Shri Guru Ram Rai University has announced a 50 percent fee concession scholarship for SGRR PG College graduates seeking admission to various postgraduate programmes. The decision was taken following a request from Student Union President Balbir Kunwar and has generated considerable enthusiasm among students aspiring to pursue higher education.
Students welcomed the scholarship initiative and expressed gratitude to Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj for the student-friendly decision. They said the fee concession would make quality higher education more accessible and help many students realize their academic and professional aspirations.
