Dehradun: Swine flu cases continue to rise in Uttarakhand. On Wednesday, three new patients were confirmed to be infected, taking the total number of cases in the state to 52. Out of these, 16 patients are currently active cases and are undergoing treatment in various hospitals.

The Health Department has stepped up efforts to contain the spread of the disease. Rapid Response Teams (RRTs) have been activated in all districts, and special beds have been reserved for swine flu patients in both government and private hospitals. Authorities are taking preventive measures at every level to break the chain of transmission.

Of the 52 cases reported so far, 35 have been recorded in Dehradun. Among the three newly detected cases, one patient is from Dehradun, while the other two belong to different districts.

Health Secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey stated that all Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) across the state have been instructed to remain fully prepared. The state government has also issued an advisory outlining preventive and control measures against the disease.
