Online registration closes September 9; admissions based on JEE Main rank

Mahendragarh: The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh, will conduct an open counselling session on September 10, 2026, for admission to vacant seats in its B.Tech programmes for the academic session 2026–27. Eligible candidates can register online until September 9, 2026.

The counselling will cover vacant seats in B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Printing and Packaging Technology.

The university clarified that the regular B.Tech admission process has already been completed and the current open counselling is being conducted specifically to fill the remaining vacant seats.

Admission against the vacant seats will initially be offered on the basis of JEE Main rank. If seats remain vacant after the merit-based admission process through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), eligible candidates who have appeared in CUET may also be considered, subject to the prescribed eligibility criteria, merit and availability of seats.

CUH Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said technical education plays a crucial role in national development, innovation and self-reliance. In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, he said higher education institutions must equip students not only with academic knowledge but also with skills, research capabilities, innovation capacity and employability-oriented competencies.

He added that CUH is committed to providing quality technical education along with practical training and opportunities for innovation to prepare students for evolving technological and industrial requirements.

Prof. Vikas Garg, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology, CUH, said eligible candidates can submit their applications through the university’s admission portal by September 9. He advised applicants to carefully review the eligibility requirements and admission guidelines for the respective programmes before applying.
