Uttarakhand to Recruit 287 New Doctors to Strengthen Rural Healthcare


Dehradun, November 14

 In a major boost to public health infrastructure, the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Uttarakhand, is set to induct 287 new medical officers through direct recruitment. The State Medical Services Selection Board has issued a recruitment notification, inviting online applications from eligible candidates.

The recruitment includes 231 direct posts and 56 backlog vacancies under the Provincial Medical and Health Services cadre. The application window opens on November 20, 2025, and closes on December 10, 2025. Applicants must be between 21 and 42 years of age.

As per the directive of State Health and Medical Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, the newly appointed doctors will be posted in remote hospitals across the state, ensuring improved access to healthcare in underserved regions.
