Rajesh Singh Raja Koli Assumes Charge as SC Commission Member, Pledges to empower marginalized

Dehradun/Pauri Garhwal: In a significant step toward strengthening social justice in Uttarakhand, Rajesh Singh Raja Koli has formally assumed charge as a member of the State Scheduled Castes Commission. His appointment is being seen as a move that will further empower the voices of Dalit and marginalised communities across the state.

After taking charge, Koli expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the party leadership for entrusting him with the responsibility. Calling it an emotional and proud moment, he said his journey from a humble Dalit background to this position reflects the spirit of opportunity and inclusion.

In his address, Koli invoked the ideals of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, emphasizing equality, dignity, and justice. He stated that his work would be guided by the principle of ensuring “equal rights and respect for all.”

Outlining his priorities, Koli said his focus would be on ensuring that government welfare schemes effectively reach the last person in the Scheduled Caste community, particularly in remote and hilly regions. He assured that he would work with full commitment to safeguard the rights of the underprivileged and address grievances promptly.

Describing the position as more than just an office, Koli said it is an opportunity to serve society with honesty and dedication. Officials and observers noted that his appointment is expected to bring greater outreach and responsiveness to the Commission’s functioning, especially in addressing ground-level challenges faced by vulnerable sections.
