Six CUH Research Scholars Selected for Prestigious ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship


Mahendragarh: In a significant achievement for research and academic excellence, six research scholars from the Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh, have been selected for the prestigious ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship 2025–26 awarded by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi. The accomplishment highlights the university's growing reputation for Cutting-edge innovative research and its commitment to nurturing academic talent across disciplines.

Congratulating the selected scholars and their research supervisors, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar described the achievement as a reflection of the scholars' academic excellence, perseverance, and dedication to research. He said that national-level recognitions such as the ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship strengthen the university's vision of promoting socially relevant and impactful research.

"This success demonstrates the commitment of our scholars towards advancing knowledge and addressing contemporary societal challenges through rigorous research. I am confident that their work will contribute significantly to their respective fields and benefit society at large," the Vice-Chancellor said.

Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma termed the selection of six scholars in a single year as a testament to the university's robust research ecosystem and academic quality. He noted that the achievement serves as an inspiration for the entire university community and reflects the institution's emphasis on fostering a culture of innovation and inquiry.

The selected scholars include Narayan Chaudhary from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication under the supervision of Dr. Alekha Sachidananda Nayak; Sachin Kumar from the Department of Management Studies under Dr. Manish Kumar; Deepali Gupta from the Department of Commerce under Prof. Suman; Prashant Kashyap from the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management under Dr. Anil Kumar; Amit Kumar from the Department of Sociology under Dr. T. Longkoi Khiamniungan; and Ms. Manisha from the Department of Sanskrit under Dr. Suman Rani.

Heads of the respective departments also expressed their delight at the achievement, emphasizing that quality research, effective academic mentoring, and students' dedication are the foundations of national recognition. They extended their best wishes to the scholars for their future academic endeavors.

Research supervisors congratulated their scholars and praised their hard work, commitment, and research capabilities.
