Dehradun: Tension gripped Bairagiwala in Sahaspur police station area after a dispute between two communities escalated into a violent clash, leaving one person dead and three others seriously injured. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami strongly condemned the violence, declaring that those attempting to disturb Uttarakhand’s peace and harmony would not be spared. “Devbhoomi’s social fabric cannot be allowed to be torn apart. Anyone challenging the law will face punishment so severe that it will deter future miscreants,” Dhami said, adding that the administration is studying legal aspects before initiating strict action.

Following the clash, reports emerged of arson and stone-pelting near the accused’s homes on Sunday morning, injuring several people. Police have arrested three individuals so far and bulldozed the houses of the accused, signaling a tough stance against lawbreakers.
